The Ino Schaller company is one of the last remaining family owned companies that hand crafts traditional paper mache figures, all from materials sourced and located in Germany. Santa’s glittery beard and eyebrows are a shade more gold than usual, possibly after days of trudging through the forest to deliver the perfect mini tree to a deserving child. Other than his snowy boots, it looks like he got out unscathed, especially his gorgeous green coat with beaded brown trim. Once you actually see a Santa figure like this, you’ll understand the craftsmanship and years of experience that went into making it. There’s also a secret container under the base that can be accessed by removing the cardboard insert that is signed by the artist. These Ino Schaller pieces are the real deal, and it makes us proud to continue the tradition of collecting that they started over 100 years ago. Each piece is signed and stamped by the Ino Schaller family, “This limited production “papier mache” is hand-made in the original antique mold in Germany by INO SCHALLER.”
