Description
The Brim Knows Everything
The wide-brimmed bonnet exists for one reason: to keep your gaze forward and everyone else’s gaze off you. There’s a very specific power in being completely covered in red while also being technically invisible, and this look captures exactly that energy. It’s the costume equivalent of not making eye contact in an elevator but make it dystopian.
Design & Details
Our in-house design team put real thought into the silhouette here specifically into how a costume could look this severe and composed without being a straightjacket. The hooded robe is 100% polyester poplin with metal snaps at the center front, and the long sleeves are sewn into the shoulders of the robe rather than attached at the cuffs.
The sides of the robe are fully open, so wearing leggings and a tank top underneath is strongly recommended. The bonnet features a stiffened wide brim and elastic along the lower back edge to keep it positioned and portrait-ready all night.
Red. Bonnet. Chosen.
The beauty of this look is that it requires almost no explanation and yet somehow everyone has something to say about it. You’ll spend the evening looking quietly resolute while other people in their store-bought pop culture costumes slowly realize they forgot to have a concept. Blessed be the one who planned ahead.
